Author Biography

Pamela Mountbatten was the wife of Lord Mountbatten, who was the last Viceroy of India. She was born in Ireland in 1929. She married Lord Mountbatten in 1946. They had two daughters, Patricia and Edwina.

Pamela Mountbatten was a close confidante of her husband. She was involved in many of his official duties, and she accompanied him on many of his travels. She was also a patron of many charities.

Pamela Mountbatten died in 2017. She was 88 years old.
